KOMEH ATELIER WORKSHOPS
BUILD THE UNIFORM
The KOMEH Atelier Workshops are immersive studio experiences centered around craft, utility, and intentional design. Created as an extension of the KOMEH philosophy, these workshops invite participants into the atelier to engage directly with the process of making — reconnecting people to the labor, construction, and thought behind the objects they wear and carry every day.
Rather than functioning as traditional sewing classes, the workshops are structured as guided creative environments where participants learn foundational construction techniques through the lens of architecture, functionality, and contemporary design. Each session is designed to feel intimate, collaborative, and exploratory — balancing technical instruction with cultural experience.
Guests are welcomed into the studio environment where music, materials, conversation, and process coexist naturally. Participants begin by selecting from a curated range of fabrics and materials before being guided through every stage of development, including pattern preparation, cutting, sewing, assembly, reinforcement, and finishing techniques.
Current workshop formats include the construction of functional objects such as wallets and laptop cases, though future sessions may expand into garments, accessories, uniforms, textile experimentation, and object studies.
Throughout the workshop, participants are introduced to:
foundational sewing techniques
pattern tracing and cutting
construction methods
material behavior and utility
finishing and reinforcement
design thinking through functionality
the philosophy and creative world surrounding KOMEH Club
The atelier atmosphere is intentionally relaxed and communal. Champagne or refreshments, curated sound, visual references, and open dialogue create an environment where creativity unfolds organically. Guests are encouraged not only to learn technical skills, but to understand the deeper relationship between handmade process, personal expression, and contemporary design culture.
Each workshop concludes with participants leaving the atelier with a finished object they constructed themselves — a physical extension of the experience and a reflection of the value of making by hand.
The KOMEH Atelier Workshops are ultimately designed to build more than products. They are designed to build community, curiosity, and connection through craft.
